Telephone Consultations & Advice

Urgent Issues – Duty Doctor

If you need urgent attention or have a problem which cannot wait, please call us on 020 7275 0077. Please explain to the reception that you have an urgent problem and they will arrange for the duty doctor to call you back within 2 hours. The doctor may be able to resolve your problem over the phone, or otherwise may invite you to the surgery, refer you to another service, or arrange a home visit.

The service is available Monday to Friday (excluding weekends and bank holidays) between the hours of 08:00 and 18:30.

We ask that you call us first for any urgent (but non-life threatening) problems instead of going to A&E at the hospital, as this is quicker and more convenient.

Telephone Consultations

Telephone consultations are typically available between 15:00 – 17:00 (by appointment only). If you call the surgery and wish to speak to a GP or other clinician for a telephone consultation, the receptionist will book you into a slot and pass this on to the doctor or clinician. You will then be called back by the clinician at the agreed time/date.

In some circumstances, the clinician may ask you to make an appointment to come into surgery, because a telephone consultation may not be appropriate to deal with your problem.
