Patients are requested to telephone as early as possible, preferably before 10am if a home visit is required.
We would request that, apart from housebound patients, all other patients attend the surgery as normal rather than request a home visit. This is because doctors will not have access to full examination facilities, medical equipment, or your full medical record. This means that you may not receive the same quality of service that could otherwise be offered in-practice.

The doctor may telephone you rather than visit you if this is medically appropriate. Ultimately, the doctor will use his/her clinical judgement to decide whether or not a visit is appropriate for a particular set of circumstances.
